In the last article, we mainly introduced the hammer division machine and the rotary division machine. So next, we will continue to talk about the last two mechanical division machines.
The Pipe Division Machine
The pipe division machine is composed of motor, reducer, chain transmission device, machine body with a rotary division tube, division ratio adjusting device and machine frame which equipped with a dust cover. The structure of it in the figure above shows that there is one feeding port on the upper part of the machine and two discharge ports on the bottom. According to the requirement, the opening size of the rotary division tube should be more than 3 times of the nominal maximum particle size of the coal sample. The division tube is driven by the motor and kept in constant rotation. Coal samples will be fed into the funnel-shaped cone through the inclined division tube that rotates at a fixed speed, and we can find that there are two holes in the cone’s division plate. The coal samples will flow into the main division tube by passing through the two holes. In addition, the reducer and the main drive shaft are connected by a transmission chain which runs smoothly and well protects the shaft and the reducer.
The entire division process is the reduction of sample mass rather than particle size sieving. The pipe division machine reduces the coal sample mass by using the method of the feeding tube rotating division. This kind of structure is unique and simple. Anything else, it is not easy to block the material. Even if the material is blocked, it will be easy to clean up. In the case that the material flow is continuous and stable, the precision of the pipe division machine can be guaranteed, while in the case that the material flow is discontinuous or unstable due to various reasons, the precision of it will deviate. In normal conditions, the pipe division machine is used for the first division of coal samples, which can effectively reduce the equipment cost of the secondary division.
The Turntable Division Machine
The turntable division machine consists of the motor, reducer, machine body, a division table which is equipped with a rotary scraper and some other components. It is generally used to further process the coal sample after the upper stage of the sample division. During the division process, the coal samples will be pushed to the center of the division table by a scraper with spiraling motion. After that, another scraper on the division table will scrape a part of the coal samples from the center to the edge. Then the samples will directly fall into an inverted conical box and be discharged from a port. Other coal samples left in the center of the division table will be discharged directly and returned to the main material flow. This kind of machine is usually used for the secondary division of coal samples.
